The English Department expects students to develop their communication skills as outlined in the Vermont Framework of Standards.  Learning opportunities in listening, speaking, reading, writing, interpreting literature, and information processing are included in all course offerings.  The courses follow a scope and sequence with increasing skill proficiency expected as the student moves from ninth to twelfth grades.
