Our science and technology offerings are designed to equip students with scientific understanding of the natural world through knowledge of the basic concepts of science, scientific and technological modes of inquiry, the nature of scientific and technological work and the historical and social contexts of science and technology. Students will understand the basic concepts of the particular discipline they study, will be able to apply them to aspects of their own lives, and will be able to utilize them in combination with skills and knowledge obtained from other fields. The scientific and technological literacy they develop will enable them to make informed decisions in the home, community and workplace. In addition, all programs are designed to offer students experiences to develop a solid foundation and the advanced skills necessary to succeed in future careers in science and technology.
