History & Mission of Seahorse
Seahorse Pride originally started as the parent volunteer group known as the Booster Club, which provided support to various clubs and athletic programs. Recognizing a greater need for financial assistance in a variety of programming, the group reconfigured itself in 2017 and became Seahorse Pride. This change allows us to expand our focus to encompass many facets of financial support.
Our guiding principle is to fund a wide range of programs across the school community, ensuring the greatest benefit for the greatest number of students, teachers, and staff.
Today, Seahorse Pride:
- Aims to defray the costs of programs for academics, the arts, clubs, and organizations
- Supports athletics teams with necessary funds that fall outside the school budget
- Fosters and promotes goodwill and spirit among the BHS community at large
- Encourages and coordinates community involvement and awareness of programs, activities, and events
- Coordinates teacher and staff appreciation events, conference lunches, Open House nights, and many other events throughout the school year.

Sponsorship Program
BHS Seahorse Pride is encouraging local businesses to become official sponsors of the BHS Seahorses. Our new approach to fundraising allows businesses to show their support for student involvement in BHS co-curricular activities by becoming a sponsor. Top level sponsors will get to display a banner on the BHS campus showing their support for our Seahorses in addition to having their logo appear on rosters and having an interactive link on the BHS website. For information about All Season Sports Passes or becoming a sponsor please contact us at seahorsepride@gmail.com.
Please email us at the address above for more information about requesting funding for your program. We’d love to hear from you.
