Salutations, seniors and families!
On Wednesday, April 17th from 6 PM – 8 PM, you are warmly invited to join us for FAFSA Night in the BHS cafeteria!
Led by Mr. Soren Dews from VSAC and co-facilitated by BHS School Counselors, families will receive on-site help to complete the Federal Application For Student Aid (FAFSA). If you find yourself asking such questions as, “What is the FAFSA?” and “Why should I do it?”, then this is the event for you!
Any student considering attending a 2- or 4-year post secondary institution after graduation must complete this federal form in order to be billed for tuition or qualify for any type of financial aid. Please note: completing the FAFSA will require use of a chromebook/laptop and the social security numbers for both the student applicant and their parent(s/guardian(s).
Students are also invited to independently visit with Mr. Dews during the school day on Friday, April 5th at the drop-in FAFSA help center in room 113 from 11:40 am -12:40 pm (Lunch/Advisory block) for additional support filling out FAFSA forms. Ahead of these events, we encourage your review of this advice from VSAC on budgeting for college and financial planning.
We’re here to support you each step of the way! Please let us know if you have any additional questions regarding these events or need additional support with your FAFSA.
