Feb. 8	Course Registration Begins	Students will receive registration forms for next year in Homeroom.
Feb. 8-9	Burlington Technical Center & Center for Technology At Essex Visit Days	Students are able to visit programs at BTC and CTE on Monday, 2/8 & Tuesday, 2/9. Information and permission slips are available in Guidance. Tech programs require visits before applying. See your conselor for details, or visit www.burlingtontech.org or www.gocte.org.
Feb. 10	Parent Network Meeting	Information on Course Registration and BHS Assessment Results.
Feb. 12	Course Registration Ends	Student registration forms for next year are due back in Homeroom.
Feb. 18	Art 2 Open House	Join Maggie Conant's Art 2 students for an exhibition and dessert.
Feb. 19	Blood Drive	Blood drive in gym running all day.
Feb. 20	Winter Break Begins	Classes resume on Wednesday, March 3rd.

Important BHS Announcements
Governor's Institutes of Vermont	Applications are now available for the Governor's Institutes of Vermont. These are intense summer programs focusing on the Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Issues, Engineering, Math, Science and Information Technology. Get more information and applications at www.giv.org or pick up materials in the Guidance Office. Application Deadline: March 15th.
Community Service Opportunities	Every BHS student is required to perform 10 hours of community service each year. Linked below are two lists of local non-profit organizations and other community groups looking for volunteers. VSAC Resource Center	VSAC will be holding FREE workshops to assist people with completing the financial aid forms for the 2010- school year. For more information, click here.
Burlington Police Dept. Visits	On Tuesday's in January and February, the entire staff of the Burlington Police Department will be visiting BHS to familarize themselves with our buildings in the event of an emergency.
